I love David Lynch. Is he Autistic?

Am I the only one who has had this thought about David Lynch? Just wondering. I doubt I’m thee only one. My current hairstyle is inspired by this man. I don’t know what else to do with it.

That’s me.

Well, I have a lot of work to do today, but I’d love some feedback on this subject. I’d love to have David Lynch be “one of us”.

  1. Sometimes I think that it’s supremely obvious that Lynch is autistic, and other times I wonder if that’s just wishful thinking on my part because I want to see my condition from a positively biased point of view. Having said that though, the first notion doesn’t preclude the second.

  2. I found out having autism myself like a week ago and I also like to make movies, but dealing with people is very difficult and filmmaking is dealing with people a lot and dealing with a lot of people haha. David Lynch has a typical way of talking, i have to admit and he’s not a mainstream filmmaker. It could be that he lives in his own world a lot, but if you look at the way he deals with people on set it’s amazing how communicative and social he is. But there is also a lot of anxiety in his movies and art. I have to admit that I don’t know if he is. Maybe i have to make the conclusion that he is to succesfull to be autistic and that he faced to little problems in dealing with structure, people and stuff. I don’t think he is autistic enough haha, but I could be wrong.

He is a great filmmaker though and he’s very cool if i look him in making offs and stuff.

Why do you think that he has autism? I’m interested in why you started this topic.
